Composting worms, feeder insects, dart frogs, tarantulas, snakes, and the odd supplies that go with them live in a fragmented world of hundreds of small breeders. We find the right one for your order, confirm the animal is actually available and healthy, and have it shipped straight to your door.
The legally cleanest category we sell β established U.S. farms, year-round shipping, honest counts. Note: we do not sell jumping worms / Alabama jumpers (Amynthas spp.) β they are a prohibited invasive species in several states, so no supplier of ours ships them, period.
The composting standard (Eisenia fetida). Ships in breathable bedding from regional worm farms; source region picked for your weather.
Bigger cousins of the red wiggler β composting, soil building, and bait. Hardy shippers in cool months.
Fast-breeding tropical composters for warm-climate bins. Genuinely hard to find β a true long-tail species.
1 lb red wigglers + bedding + a plain-English starter guide, sourced as one confirmed order.
Live feeders from dedicated insect breeders β fresher and better-counted than marketplace listings. State restrictions apply per species (dubia roaches, for example, cannot ship to FL, AL, or HI).
The feeder staple for reptiles, birds, and chickens, from dedicated mealworm breeders.
Popular non-climbing feeder roaches. Not shippable to Florida, Alabama, or Hawaii β checked before confirmation.
Calcium-rich feeders (BSFL / βPhoenix wormsβ) for poultry and reptiles.
Quieter, hardier cricket species preferred by many keepers over the common house cricket.
Captive-bred only, from specialist breeders β never wild-caught imports of unknown origin. Amphibians ship overnight; that shipping cost is real and is included in your confirmed total, never hidden.
Vivid, active display frogs (several species/morphs). Captive-bred, feeding on fruit flies before they ship.
IntermediateHardy, personable, and one of the best first frogs. Captive-bred juveniles and adults.
BeginnerBig, grumpy, sit-and-wait predators in standard and albino morphs. Mostly frog, entirely attitude.
BeginnerMasters of camouflage for a planted paludarium. Seasonal availability β worth the waitlist.
AdvancedCaptive-bred reptiles from working breeders, feeding reliably before they ship. Every reptile order includes a live-arrival check-in from us the day after delivery.
The classic first snake: docile, hardy, and available in dozens of color morphs.
BeginnerCalm, long-lived constrictors. We only source animals confirmed feeding on frozen/thawed.
BeginnerβIntermediateSmall, gentle, long-lived lizards that thrive in simple setups. A great first reptile.
BeginnerArboreal, handleable, and happy on powdered diets β no live insects required.
BeginnerHonest labels, always: experience level and temperament on every listing. Old World tarantulas have medically significant venom β we label them Advanced and we mean it. Tarantulas are look-don't-hold pets.
Brachypelma hamorii: slow-growing, calm, and the hobby's benchmark beginner species.
BeginnerChromatopelma cyaneopubescens: heavy webber with unreal color. Fast β respect the speed.
IntermediateHardy, defensive, impressive under normal light and unreal under UV. Long forceps recommended.
IntermediateFor experienced keepers only. Potent venom, high speed, zero handling. Keeper experience is confirmed before we source these.
Advanced β potent venomNot live, but just as hard to find: bioactive cultures, specialty substrates, and species-specific foods, sourced from the same specialist suppliers.
Live cultures that keep planted enclosures clean. Hardy shippers, year-round.
The planted-vivarium standard mix for dart frogs and other tropical species.
Everything to keep dart-frog food coming: producing cultures, media, and cups.
The dart-frog and crested-gecko standard enclosure, sourced from reptile-supply specialists.
We are a sourcing service, not a warehouse. Live animals shouldn't sit in a box in a warehouse waiting for a buyer.
Typical timeline: confirmation within 1 business day; most breeders ship live orders MondayβWednesday only, so a Friday request usually ships the following Monday. We'll always tell you the ship date before charging you.
Live animals are perishable. Orders ship early in the week (MonβWed) to avoid weekend warehouse stays. During extreme heat or cold, shipments may be held until a safe window β we email you before any hold, and you may cancel for a full refund instead of waiting. "Hold for pickup" at your local carrier hub is available on request and strongly recommended in summer and winter.
If a significant portion of your order arrives dead, email us within 24 hours of the carrier's delivery scan with a clear photo of the shipment as received. We will, at your choice: reship once at no charge, or refund the item price (shipping refunded if the carrier/supplier accepts responsibility for a transit delay). Normal transit stress β a small number of losses in a bulk count β is not DOA; as a working rule, losses above roughly 10% of a counted order qualify. We never ask you to ship dead animals back.
Live goods cannot be returned and restocked β that would be unsafe for the animals and for other customers. Cancellation is free any time before your card is charged (i.e., before you approve the confirmed total). After shipment, the DOA policy above is the remedy. Wrong species or count? That's on us: reship or full refund, your choice.
Some species cannot legally or responsibly be shipped to some states. Our confirmation step includes a state check for your exact order and species. If your state is a no-go, we tell you during confirmation β before any charge β and suggest a legal alternative where one exists. [Placeholder: final species Γ state restriction matrix to be completed before launch.]
Live-animal prices genuinely move β by season, breeder, and shipping distance and weather. A fixed price would either overcharge you or force corner-cutting on the animals. So we quote a floor, confirm the real total with the breeder, and charge only what you approved.
For live animals, selection there is thin, stock photos hide what's actually shipping, and counts are often short. Small specialist breeders usually ship healthier animals β they're just hard to find and compare. Finding and vetting them is the service.
Never at request time. We confirm availability and the exact total first, you approve it, and only then is the charge captured. If we can't source your order at or under the price you approved, any authorization is released and you pay nothing.
No β never. Amynthas species are prohibited invasive species in several states and a genuine ecological problem. Any supplier offering them is a supplier we won't use.
We tell you within 1 business day, release any hold, and β if you want β waitlist you for the next availability window. No charge, no store-credit games.
Us β one email address, answered by the same team that placed your order. We deal with the breeder and the carrier so you don't have to.
Prototype form β submitting does not place an order or charge anything. In the live version, this form opens the concierge flow described above.
